Apollo Crews The First Superstar To Move In WWE Shakeup

WWE has announced that Apollo Crews is the first Superstar to move in this weeks Superstar Shakeup – do you think its a good move?

Tonight marks Night 1 of WWE’s Superstar Shakeup – the mini draft that will grant some Superstars the opportunity to move between Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live. We thought we’d be left waiting until the show this evening to hear about the movements, but we’ve already been told which Superstar is the first one to move – Apollo Crews.

The Smackdown Live Superstar last featured on WWE Television in a feud with Dolph Ziggler. Given how little he’s featured on that brand since the New Year, one suspects WWE wanted to save him  from Smackdown obscurity.

In my opinion, this is pretty much the last chance saloon for Apollo Crews. The guy has struggled since arriving on the main roster to stand out, with almost zero notable personality given to him. Even when Ziggler was beating him down with a chair, he seemed unmoved by the entire thing.

Crews has the look of a top Superstar but, without a gimmick to match his athletic ability, it’s hard to see how he can be anything other than a midcard cog in the years to come.

What do you think of this move? Is this the right decision for Apollo Crews in the long-term? What do you want to see him doing on Monday Night Raw?
