It seems that anything Smackdown Live can do, Raw is equally willing to do itself. After Naomi won her first Championship last night, the Raw brand held its own Women’s Championship match this evening. This culminated with Bayley overcoming Charlotte Flair and capturing her first WWE Raw Women’s Championship in the process.

The match was the latest in the ongoing feud between the pair, who have been trading matches for a few months now. It means that Charlotte has yet again, lost her Championship on a Monday Night Raw episode.
During the match, Charlotte Flair’s former protegé Dana Brooke attempted to help the Champion retain the belt, but was ultimately stopped by Sasha Banks. It was her interference with crutches that ultimately turned the tide on the match and set in motion Bayley’s victory.
Bayley was promoted from the NXT developmental brand in late 2016, brought in to help fill out the roster. Her arrival was seen as a huge moment for her and the Women’s Division on Raw – where she didn’t take long to endear herself to the audience.
It remains to be seen how long Bayley can hold on to her Championship. The Raw Women’s Championship has a habit of moving around fairly frequently, so she may need to be ready to defend the belt.
