During WWE’s UK tour, reports began to surface that Braun Strowman was going to need emergency elbow surgery. The timescale for his return wasn’t known at the time, with suggestions that the popular Superstar would be missing up to six months of action. Luckily, it seems this was incorrect – as Strowman returned to active duty this evening.

The former Wyatt Family member had been feuding with Roman Reigns for several months, finding huge popularity in the process. Reports suggested that he was in line to face Brock Lesnar at the upcoming Great Balls of Fire pay per view event; until his injury forced a change in creative direction.

He returned in the back of an ambulance, which interrupted the Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns match. Once Joe had won that match, Strowman made his way down to the ring and attacked Reigns even more. He then challenged the former WWE Champion to an Ambulance match at the upcoming Great Balls of Fire event.

Strowman has been building momentum since the brand split in the summer of 2016. His matches have improved greatly – enough that many fans see him as a main talent on the Monday Night show. In particular – he had a great series of matches against Big Show – arguably some of the best the veteran WWE Superstar has had in a good long time.

It’ll be interesting to see who wins that match. Roman Reigns challenged the winner of the Brock Lesnar/Samoa Joe match to a Summerslam match. Yet by losing to Joe on Raw, and potentially losing at Great Balls of Fire, it throws open the idea of Braun getting that long rumored Universal Championship match.

Are you happy to see Braun Strowman return to the WWE ring? Are you glad to see him continuing his feud with Roman Reigns?
