This weekend is the biggest in wrestling. The showcase of the immortals. the immovable object faces the unstoppable force. Yeah, yeah – listen I’m not as excited about this PPV as I’ve been for past WWE WrestleMania’s. While It features some potentially great matches the build up has been weak. This Mania feels like a bunch of missed opportunities. In fact let’s call this article WrestleMissed opportunity… eh…eh?…fine. Regardless of How I feel going into to the card there is a lot of potential for fantastic outcomes and a bright future. Here is my breakdown of the results I hope happens at Wrestlemania 33.

Neville vs Austin Aries

Neville is arguably at the best point of his career and while Austin Aries in a WrestleMania match is something of a dream among some fans, Neville coming on top would be for the best. Neville’s tough heel persona needs to stay strong and on top. The division is under a year old still and Neville being champion will only provide opportunities for upcoming faces in the division, including some who could debut on the shows following mania..

Prediction: Neville

Smackdown Live Women’s Invitational

Listen I love Becky Lynch. Always have, and while I’m hoping she wins I knew Alexa Bliss would come out on top. That is until Naomi returned. Naomi has to win. Fresh matches for the title is what the women’s division needs and Naomi brings a much-needed boost to the existing roster. Also yay, this has been moved to the main Wrestlemania Card. People power and all that!

Prediction: Naomi

Andre the Giant Battle Royal

This match is always so frustrating. The opportunities here are endless and yet it always seems like the WWE goes the safe route. Personally I would love a shock ending. Imagine Kalisto outsmarting Stowman? Yeah I know not going to happen…

Prediction: Braun Stowman

Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton

Bray Wyatt is finally on top. A few years to late? Maybe. The story of Bray Wyatt’s dominance always has the caveat of poor booking. Here is a gimmick that, when done right, could draw as much heat as John Cena doing any promo on any televised event. I’m fearful for Bray after Mania as the clear winner here is Orton and besides a rematch or two Bray will probably be quickly swept under the rug. Randy Orton is so boring…how does anyone…why is he always…I can’t stand it.

I hope Wyatt walks out of Wrestlemania as WWE Champion.

Prediction: Randy Orton

Raw Woman’s Elimination Title Match

Bayley has to win. Bayley NEEDS to win. She has the most to lose here. but Charlotte Flair is going to win. that is all.

Prediction: Charlotte

Chris Jericho vs Kevin Owens

The outcome is Obvious. Owens is going to win. I’m going to use this paragraph to say how much I love these two guys. Jericho has done it again and re invented himself to stay relevant and in the process he is raising Owen’s to a whole new level. I really hope these two guys are given enough time. 15 to 20 minutes of fun with the crowd. I can’t wait.

Prediction: Owens

John Cena/Nikki Bella vs The Miz/Maryse

For a type of match I usually don’t care about I’m actually really looking forward to see if they reward The Miz for his great Promo work.  I firmly believe that The Miz  has taken advantage of the roster spit more than any one else. This could be a fun match and given how much the fans have bought into this seemingly pointless match, I wouldn’t look beyond a Wrestemania upset.

Prediction: The Miz

Dean Ambrose vs Baron Corbin

I used to love Dean. Here’s a guy that was just fun to watch during matches but now he’s boring. If Miz has taken advantage the most of the split, Dean has the opposite. He’s boring throwing Corbin into the mix only worsens things. I really hope the remaining of 2017 is better for Ambrose.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

Gallows/Anderson vs Enzo/Big Cass vs Sheamus/Cesaro

Unless the WWE has big plans for either of these tag teams splitting up or throwing in a new team in the mix the following Raw I don’t see the titles changing hands.

Prediction: Luke Gallows/Karl Anderson

Triple H vs Seth Rollins

It should be Obvious. Rollins should win and then immediately should be thrown into the title mix. It’s Triple H though. and any WWE fan knows that Triple H is considered, or at least considers himself, a rung to climb on the proverbial WWE ladder. Rollins has the most to gain though.

Prediction: Seth Rollins

Shane McMahon vs AJ Styles

AJ Styles deserves the top spot and he will get there again no doubt. He’s going to win but this has the opportunity to be the match that can be the most fun. Crazy spots will no doubt riddle the match and I really hope Shane doesn’t kill himself out there.

Prediction: AJ Styles

Roman Reigns vs Undertaker

Everyone wants Reigns to go heel. I know I do. It’s the most effective way to use him and to eventually turn him face again. How do you do that? You have Reigns kick Undertakers butt. No seriously. Forget passing the torch, Forget whose yard they fight in. Reigns winning provides the biggest opportunity for the WWE. He’s going to be booed out of the building anyways. A dominant match for Reigns will create the biggest opportunities for the remainder of the year. Everyone compares it to The Rock’s heel days early on in his career but this has the opportunity to be Triple H Evolution era heel. Someone so hatred for his dominance that the heat will be through the roof.

Prediction: Roman Reigns

Wrestlemania Main Event: Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg

Once, twice, 3 times in a lifetime the rubber match between these two guys since Goldberg’s return is hopefully ending the feud. Honestly I don’t care who wins. I’m really curious how this match will go down. Paul Heyman could make it fun, maybe even Strowman. I just really hope it’s something different than what’s expected.

Prediction: Brock Lesnar
