Ghost Recon Retains Top Position In UK Sales Chart

Ubisoft’s latest Ghost Recon manages to continue its run at the top of the UK sales chart. Can anything de-throne it at this point?

There may be a ton of Tom Clancy games in the wild, but it seems gamers just can’t get enough of the hugely popular Ghost Recon – which has managed to retain its top position in the UK game sales charts.

In fairness this was a very quiet week – with no new entries into the list (Hurrah for that pre-summer wait). The closest contender was Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V – which at this point might as well buy a slot on the charts – it hasn’t moved off them in over two years now.

Fifa 2017, Rocket League and Lego Worlds make up the remaining five – pointing even further at this ongoing videogame drought.

The Legend of Zelda managed to cling on to its top 10 position ever so slightly – although with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe set to land this Friday, it wouldn’t surprise me if this changes next week.

Spare a thought also for Yooka-Laylee, which has gone down like a fart in an elevator – collapsing out of the Top 10 and almost falling through the entire list. It’s a sign that the mild reaction to the game (plus its Kickstarter status) limited the success of the game.

Where do you think Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will land next week? Can Yooka-Laylee remain in the Top 20?
