Latest Injustice 2 Trailer Showcases It’s Good To Be Bad

For fans of the DC Universe’s bad boys, NetherRealm studios have release a trailer showcasing four DC villains that will be in the Injustice 2 roster. The four villains are Gorilla Grodd, Bane, Captain Cold, and Scarecrow. Though Grodd and Bane have already been revealed in earlier teasers and promotions, the trailer is the first time the studio has revealed Captain Cold and Scarecrow.

Gorilla Grodd is a literal gorilla with a genius level intellect and telepathic powers. An enemy of the Flash in the comics, his appearance in The Flash TV show has elevated his status with non-comic book fans. His gameplay in Injustice has already been shown in previous trailers; he appears to be a heavy hitter, with telepathic attacks to give him greater reach.

Bane is a Batman villain, most famous for being the one that broke Batman’s back in the comics, and his appearance in two movies. He is the only returning villain from the first Injustice game to be shown in the trailer. He already had a character profile in the Injustice 2 website, and was already teased in a previous video. But this is the first time that any gameplay footage was exhibited. He looks smaller and more proportionate than his Injustice 1 appearance, yet he stills looks as if he is a powerhouse, with his attacks appearing to give lots of damage.

Captain Cold is another character that has reach new found fame thanks to his appearance in The Flash TV series and Legends of Tomorrow. Another longtime enemy of the Flash, Captain Cold is often presented as the leader of the Rogues, a group of supervillains that opposes the Flash. Cold’s gameplay in the trailer maybe the most exciting, as his ice gun gives him very cool looking moves.

Scarecrow is an extra Batman villain known for his presence in The Dark Knight trilogy, and the Arkham video game series. His main gimmick is that he makes his enemies feel great fear, with NetherRealm giving him a terrifying design; they even gave him a creepy hook. While his hook-base attacks seem devastating, it is hard to determine what kind of fighter he will be by the footage.

All four character look great in the trailer, even though the game now has even more Batman characters. They should just retitle Injustice 2 as “The Batman Fighting Game (with Guests)”. Agree with that notion, or should there be even more Batman characters? Looking forward to any of the villains in the trailer, or were you desiring other villains to be in the game?
