Scott Dawson Reportedly Injured – May Miss SummerSlam

Reports suggest that WWE Raw’s Scott Dawson may be set to miss SummerSlam with a shoulder injury. The Revival have the worst luck.

The Revival just can’t get a break it seems. After returning mere weeks ago due to Dash Wilder’s broken jaw, it seems the tag team may be set to miss the biggest event in WWE’s summer with another injury. Sadly it seems Scott Dawson may be the cause of this.

Reports from ProWrestlingSheet indicate that the WWE Superstar may be sidelined for a long while, with surgery potentially required on his shoulder. It’s unclear when the injury occurred – but his arm was notably wrapped during a show on Saturday.

It means that the planned Raw feud between The Hardy Boyz and The Revival would have to be scrapped – putting the planned SummerSlam match for the Hardy Boyz in jeopardy.

It’s terrible luck for the tag team, who had been looking forward to a bright future on WWE’s main roster. After galvanising fans down in NXT with their entertaining matches, The Revival did look set to become major players on the main roster. Sadly, another injury could derail the pair’s momentum, as WWE usually sours on individuals that it deems unreliable.  While this may be Scott Dawson’s first injury on the main roster, it’s his tag teams second.

It’s also bad news for the Hardy Boyz, who were looking to get some new direction under their wings. The pair returned at Wrestlamania 33 to huge acclaim, but since then things haven’t gone to plan. A prolonged legal dispute with Global Force Wrestling has caused plans to introduce the “Broken” gimmick into WWE to be shelved – leaving the pair constantly teasing the gimmick.

We hope that the match isn’t cancelled – if only because this could have been a huge breakout moment for The Revival. Raw needs new tag teams to rise to the top, and the Hardy Boyz are more than capable of getting the pair over as a top team. To miss out on SummerSlam would be a huge blow to both parties.
