Cedric Alexander Out For Several Months With Knee Injury

WWE’s Cedric Alexander suffers an unfortunately timed injury – meaning he’ll miss Wrestlemania and a huge payday in WWE’s calendar.

Wrestlemania time is the worst time to get injured for WWE’s Superstars. It means no big payday on the biggest pay-per-view of the year, and means Superstars miss out on the post-Wrestlemania momentum. So spare a thought for Cedric Alexander – who’s set to miss this period thanks to a knee injury.

The 205 Live star reportedly picked up the injury a few weeks back, with doctors saying that he won’t be able to wrestle for anywhere between 3-5 months. It means the Superstar will only return in the summer of 2017.

Cedric was last featured on WWE television when he competed in a six-man tag-team Championship match. He’s been a prominent member of the 205 Live roster – featured in an ongoing story line with Alicia Fox before “dumping” her.

Alexander came to prominence during the Cruiserweight Classic during 2016 – where he was one of the standout performers in the competition. He earned himself a spot on the company’s new Cruiserweight roster – although he hasn’t captured the division’s championship quite yet.

It’s a terrible shame for Cedric, who’s likely to miss out on the Cruiserweight Division’s recent advances. We wish him well in his recovery and hope to see him back in the ring sooner rather than later.
