If there’s one thing we have to thank Marvel for, it’s the rise in the prominence of after-credit scenes in blockbusters. These bite size scenes are used as a way of teasing upcoming projects, expanding on previous story’s or offering up a cheap laugh. It’s being reported by those who attended the press showing of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy 2 that there will be FOUR post-credit scenes.
Apparently two of the scenes setup future concepts for Marvel’s cinematic universe, while the other two are playful nods for fans. There’s also a huge Stan Lee cameo involved, although we’re not savvy to the nature of this.
It should all be music to the ears of Marvel’s fans, who will be glad to hear that there’s plenty of content for them to sink their teeth into when they go to watch the upcoming movie.
James Gunn recently confirmed that he’d be on board to helm the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 flick. Quite what form that will take after the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War is anybody’s guess, but given the positive media reaction to the second outing – we can’t wait to see what happens.
Are you excited to see the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2?
